A. If you live, work or worship in Monessen, Donora, Rostraver Township, Sewickley Township, East Huntingdon Township, South Huntingdon Township, Sutersville, Smithton, Madison, West Newton, Mt. Pleasant or Scottdale you are eligible for membership. In addition, family members of current Valley 1st Community F.C.U. members are eligible for membership also.

Q. Why should I become a member of Valley 1st Community F.C.U.?
A. Our members, over 14,000, are also owners, helping each other offer lower interest rates and other competitively priced financial services. Becoming a part of the Valley 1st Community F.C.U. means you may take advantage of all the benefits of membership. And, once you are a Valley 1st Community F.C.U. member, you are always a member and our friendly service and numerous benefits will keep you a part of the Valley 1st Community F.C.U. family.

Q. How do I join Valley 1st Community F.C.U.?
A. The simplest way to join is to stop by either of our branches and speak with our friendly member services representatives. It only take a few minutes with proper identification to complete all the necessary paperwork needed to open your share account. You may also complete an online application by clicking here. Click on the Applications link, then, using that screen you can make application requests directly to Valley 1st Community F.C.U. You can either print and mail your application or submit using secure e-mail to Valley 1st Community F.C.U.

Q. Can I access my accounts when I cannot get to a Valley 1st Community F.C.U. branch?
A. Valley 1st Community F.C.U. has available many options for those who cannot visit either of the branch offices during normal hours. Click on the above Other Services button to find out more about our ATM locations, Audio Response Teller, Wire Funds Service and Internet Account Access.

Q. Why is is better to obtain a loan from the Credit Union?
A. Credit unions offer the best auto loan rates of any financial institutions. Before accepting a no-interest loan from a dealer, consumers should check their credit union's rates. Using the rebate to reduce the loan balance may be a better deal than financing a larger amount at a low rate.

Q. Are there fees for regular checking accounts?
A. No. At Valley 1st Community F.C.U., we offer fee free Share Draft (Checking) Accounts, no strings attached. Other financial institutions charge per check/transaction and monthly maintenance fees, require a minimum balance and even have time limited restrictions.
